A: You may add characters to the scene, as long as they don't completely take it over.

I think a lot of people based their images off of this rule. I for one thought it was nice that for once it was contest that made characters less important in a scene, cause we all know most people on da only like to draw characters and hardly ever get into backgrounds.

Thats the main reason why i was disappointed in this decision.

Especially since someone had asked about it and then because of your answer. I thought this judgment was a little unfair because of that one mention.

Im not asking you to change your decision, because it would be unfair to the winner (and as ive said before, its still a nice drawing). But for future purposes mostly, rules are rules.
